Research

The Center for Responsible Supply Chain Management (CRSCM) advances research that helps organizations design supply chains that are not only efficient and competitive, but also sustainable, equitable, and resilient. We focus on challenges that sit at the intersection of business performance and societal impact — such as climate risk, labor conditions, ethical sourcing, and responsible resource use — recognizing that supply chain decisions have far-reaching consequences.

Our work is grounded in real-world problems and shaped by collaboration with faculty across disciplines, industry leaders, and community stakeholders. We draw on diverse research methods, from empirical analysis to analytical modeling and behavioral experiments, and emphasize practical relevance through case-driven inquiry and applied learning. By connecting academic insight with practice, we aim to produce actionable research that informs policy, strengthens decision-making, and supports more responsible supply chain strategies.

Selected publications
